Cost sharing or matching means the portion of project costs not paid by Federal funds.
Match is required by the DD Act and supported in regulations and instructions and is also a term and condition for accepting federal funds.
A DD Council can pay for up to 75% of the total cost of a project or activity with federal funds. This means the cost share (or match) amount is 25%.
A DD Council can pay up to 90% of the total cost of a project or activity with federal funds if the Council is conducting work that targets people with developmental disabilities in a US Census Bureau identified urban or rural poverty area. This means the cost share (or match) is 10%.
A DD Council can pay up to 100% of the total cost of a project or activity with federal funds if Council staff is implementing the project. This means the cost share (or match) is 0%.
Match cannot be provided with other federal funds.
