American Community Survey – a census tool that samples a segment of the population each year and gives communities the information they need to plan investments and services.
Annual Disability Statistics Compendium – web-based tools that pool disability statistics published by various federal agencies together in one place. Data available on employment, earnings, poverty, home environments, veterans, health insurance coverage, rural, health, SSA Programs, education, VR, and voting and registration.
Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act – The report focuses on children with disabilities being served under IDEA, Part B and Part C, nationally and at the State level. Data and data charts included.
Center for Assistive Technology Act Data Assistance – Data on State and Territory AT programs.
CDC Disability and Health State Profiles – fact sheets provide an overview of disability and health in each state, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico. You can use this information to learn more about the percentages and characteristics of adults with disabilities in your area.
Disability and Health Data System – provides instant access to state-level health and demographic data about adults with disabilities.
Disability Statistics: National and state-level reports presenting prevalence and relative economic status of people with disabilities.
Medicaid expenditures and beneficiaries for Medicaid Long-term Services and Supports (LTSS), including institutional and non-institutional settings, by service category and state.
Medicaid State Waivers List -provides information by state on waivers. Status of the waiver is included.
National Core Indicators – are standard measures used across states to assess outcomes of services provided to individuals and families. Information available for participating states.
Open Government is the federal government’s open data site. Numerous states, cities, and counties have launched open data sites; searches on the Data.gov catalog will return relevant datasets from both federal and non-federal sources.
Priced Out – The Housing Crisis for People with Disabilities an up-to-date report on housing affordability for people who rely solely on social security income.
Residential Information Systems Project (RISP) provides data, charts, profiles, reports and more from annual state IDD agency surveys on information about the settings in which LTSS recipients live, federal and state funding mechanisms used, residential setting type and size, age of recipients, and expenditures.
State of the States in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities – provides access to nationwide longitudinal financial and programmatic trends in IDD services.
