Advocacy and Public Policy Activities: What can Councils do?

In their advocacy role on behalf of people with ID/DD and their families, DD Council members and staff provide valuable information to policymakers at all levels of government. Information about DD Act requirements, allowable activities and strategies to educate policymakers and engage actively in advocacy work, advocating a position or viewpoint, activities that are allowed and not allowed are discussed.
