The Impact Project: Highlighting Council Work and Results
NACDD/ITACC, in partnership with ACL, AoD, and OIDD, is collecting information about your work to share with a wide range of people who need to know about it and its results.
There are four (4) primary topic areas during the federal fiscal year 2026.
Primary Topic #1 – Caregiving (December 2025 – January 2026)
Examples of caregiving initiatives include Respite Care, Family Caregivers, Direct Support Professionals, and Unpaid Caregivers (not family).
Primary Topic #2 – Connecting People to Services (February – March 2026)
Examples of initiatives include training and education about services, support, and other resources, and how to access them; efforts to simplify access to information and resources so people know where to go and how to get the services and support they need; and collaboration with other agencies and organizations.
Primary Topic #3 – Well-being, Individual Rights and Safety (April – May 2026)
Examples of initiatives include person-centered practices, self-care, dual diagnosis, health habits, empowering people with information and resources, social engagement, and community involvement.
Primary Topic #4 – Employment (June – July 2026)
Examples of initiatives include competitive, integrated employment; efforts to strengthen employment training and support services; and policies to remove barriers to work.
During each collection, an “open topic” category is available for work and results on any topic area.
