Information and resources are provided in four sections to help a newly hired executive director.  Section I:  Information about the Administration for Community Living, Administration on Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, descriptions of DD Act programs, relationships with DD Act partners, and other federal program information.  Section II: DD Act, Council responsibilities, annual activities, conflict of interest, executive director annual evaluation.  Section III:  Federal reports and required documentation.  Section IV:  Council operations, relationships, micromanagement, roles and responsibilities of staff and members, and conflict management.
