This information covers leadership and the role of the Chair, the concept and expectations of a public official, the key areas of the DD Act a Chair should know about, common duties of a Chair, strategies for planning and preparing for meetings, tips to facilitate and run efficient meetings, tips to engage all members, how to reach consensus, the importance of listening, the Chair role in ensuring diversity and cultural competence, developing a strong working relationship with the Executive Director, hiring and annually evaluating the director.
